MacMeden Named New Demand Media VP

Julie MacMedan was announced today as the newest Demand Media®, Inc. vice president of investor relations. Demand Media is a leading social media and content business with over 100 million site visitors each month and a global network of digital associates. MacMaden joins the Demand Media team with more than 20 years of expertise in investor relations and financial communication.

MacMedan previously worked for a leading interactive entertainment company, THQ Inc., for nine years as the vice president of corporate communications and investor relations. Before working for THQ Inc., MacMedan held the position of vice president at PondelWilkinson Inc., an investor relations consulting firm. She has also been the director of marketing services at NASDAQ OMX, counseling companies on the strategies of investor relations.

MacMedan graduated magna cum laude from the University of Richmond, where she earned a BS in Business Administration. She has also earned an MBA from George Mason University.
